FSE11 - The Future of Fire Safety Engineering

On behalf of the members of the Society of Fire Safety, the Conference and Programme Committee, we have great pleasure in inviting you to attend the Fire Safety Engineering International Conference 2011 - Raising the Bar, which will be held in Sydney, Australia 23rd to 24th March 2011.

The world's leading fire safety engineers and fire scientists will attend this two day Fire Safety Engineering International Conference 2011, focussing on current issues of importance and controversy in Fire Safety Engineering practice.

Brian J. Meacham, Associate Professor, Department of Fire Protection Engineering, Worcester Polytechnic Institute, MA, USA, will deliver the keynote address, Fire Safety Engineering - Current State & Possible Futures setting the international theme for the Conference.

Following FSE09 - Charting the Course, FSE11 - Raising the Bar, seeks to explore steps that must be taken to bring matunity to Fire Safety Engineering by addressing the issues and setting targets for their resolution. The contributions will advance the engineering and science aspects of the subject, their application, advancing and exploiting new ideas consistent with FSE11 - Raising the Bar theme.

The presentations in the plenary and technical sessions form the basis of this International Conference with ample time for delegate discussion and interaction, combined with social events.
